Privacy

Your puzzle progress belongs in your browser.

Local game data

We use your browser’s localStorage to save puzzles, answers, pencil notes, undo history, elapsed time, hints, completed games and theme preferences. This data is not sent to a 4ool game server. There is no account, cloud sync or global leaderboard. You can remove this information using your browser’s website data settings.

Shared puzzles

A shared link includes only the game, engine version, size, difficulty and random seed in the URL fragment. It does not include your answers or statistics. Anyone with the link can generate the same starting puzzle.

Hosting and advertising

Our static hosting provider may process standard network information such as IP addresses and request logs when delivering the site. The production site uses Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure advertisements, subject to your consent choices where applicable.

Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and manage your preferences in My Ad Center. Blocking advertising does not prevent the puzzle engines from working.

External links

Links to 4ool services and Buy Me a Coffee take you to other websites with their own privacy practices.

Storage availability

You can play when local storage is blocked, but progress may be lost when the page is closed. Clearing browser data removes your saved games and personal records.
